FAQ's
How do I know my problem is a chiropractic problem?
Simply put, you won’t! Nor will we – until a proper and thorough examination is performed. A thorough and detailed exam includes: muscle tests, specific nerve tests, orthopedic tests, and x-ray examination (when necessary.) Here is the good news… a thorough Chiropractic examination takes less than 45 minutes. After which time, the Doctor will be able to inform you if Chiropractic care will help solve your problem.
Is Chiropractic care safe?
Chiropractic medicine is widely recognized as one of the safest, drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, and other neuromusculoskeletal complaints. Although Chiropractic care has an excellent safety record, no health treatment is completely free of potential adverse effects.
The risks associated with Chiropractic care however, are very slight. Most patients feel immediate relief following Chiropractic treatment. On occasion, a patient may experience mild soreness or aching, similar to that felt after doing some forms of exercise. Current literature, as well as our experience, shows that minor discomfort or soreness following spinal manipulation typically fades within 24 hours.
How many times do I have to come?
Each care plan is customized and designed with the patient’s immediate needs and long-range goals in mind. Whether it is to get through the day without pain while sitting at work or to relieve ankle pain after running a marathon, each care plan has a start, middle and most importantly, an end to treatment. Each patient has input into his or her individualized treatment program and subsequent schedule.
